The deeper the needle penetrates the bitumen surface, the softer the bitumen and the more suitable it will be for any cold.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The most widely used<em><strong> bitumen for road construction<\/strong><\/em> is <em><strong>penetration bitumen with grade 60\/70<\/strong><\/em> and then <strong><em>grade 80\/100<\/em><\/strong>. The reason for using <em><strong>viscosity rating<\/strong><\/em> instead of penetration rating is because of the <strong><em>change in bitumen viscosity at high temperatures<\/em><\/strong>. But what are the <em><strong>advantages of viscosity bitumen<\/strong><\/em> to penetration bitumen?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This <em><strong>grading system<\/strong><\/em> is designed to increase bitumen accuracy at high temperatures. A particular grade of <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.iranetrade.com\/penetration-grade-bitumen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>penetration bitumen<\/em><\/strong><\/a> may show different results at a specific temperature, but the <em><strong>bitumen viscosity<\/strong> <\/em>always behaves the same.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When there is a need to <em><strong>predict the behavior of bitumen in the hottest time of the year<\/strong><\/em>, and its properties in standard weather conditions, <em><strong>bitumen viscosity<\/strong> <\/em>is a better choice.
